How we work: sources, price checks and independence
What we promise
Every page on this site answers three questions: what is the right choice for you, where to buy it safely, and what to do if something goes wrong. We say clearly when the official option, the free option or the cheapest option is the best one – even when we earn nothing from it.
Where our facts come from
- Prices, opening hours, rules and routes come from the organisation that sets them: the monument’s own website, Turisme de Barcelona, TMB (public transport), FGC and Renfe (trains), the Port of Barcelona, Barcelona City Council and the Government of Catalonia.
- Every page lists its sources with the date we checked them.
- Prices in our price boxes show the date we last saw them on the seller’s page. Prices change; the seller’s page always wins.
- If we cannot confirm something from an official or operator source, we say so or leave it out.
What is first-hand and what is not
When someone from our team has visited, timed a route or taken a photo, the page says so. When a page has not been checked on site yet, it says that too. We never present stock or AI-generated images as our own photos, and we never invent reviews or experiences.
How often we update
Ticket pages are reviewed at least every 60 days, buying guides every 90 days and other guides every 4–6 months, plus whenever an operator announces a change. Significant changes are noted at the end of the page.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help organise research and draft text. A person checks every fact against the source before a page is published, and AI is never used to invent facts, experiences or photos.
How we make money
Some links earn us a commission when you book (see our affiliate disclosure). Commissions never decide what we recommend, and we do not accept payment for reviews or rankings.
