Casa Batlló Tickets: Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum – Which One Is Worth It?
We earn a commission if you book through some links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never decides what we recommend. How we make money
Buy Silver at minimum. Blue saves you €5 but leaves out the rooftop, the part of the house most people come to see. Gold adds the Batlló family's furnished private residence, the concierge room and an AR tablet for another €5. Platinum costs €10 more than Gold, and the only thing the official site confirms it adds is free cancellation and date changes.

What does each Casa Batlló ticket include?
Casa Batlló sells the standard daytime visit (the “General Visit”) in four categories. Everything below comes from the official “what’s included” page and the category cards on the booking page, both read on 22 Oct 2026.
| What you get | Blue | Silver | Gold | Platinum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audio guide in 15 languages, with soundtrack | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Main floor, attic, rear façade and courtyard, basement stairs and atrium | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Gaudí Cube (360° digital room by Refik Anadol) | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Dragon’s Rooftop (the roof terrace with the “dragon’s back” and the chimneys) | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Augmented reality tablet | No (free for children 0–12) | No (free for children 0–12) | Yes | Yes |
| Original concierge room (restored) | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Private residence of the Batlló family (furnished first-floor rooms) | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Free cancellation and self-service date change | No | No | No | Yes |
| Typical adult price (normal slot) | €35 | €40 | €45 | €55 |
| Approximate length | 1 h | 1 h 15 | 1 h 15 | 1 h 15 |
The difference between categories is fixed. Silver costs €5 more than Blue, Gold €10 more and Platinum €20 more, for the same time slot. We saw these gaps on every date we checked, both on casabatllo.es and in the Turisme de Barcelona shop.
Three things other guides get wrong or leave out:
- Silver does not mean fast-track. On the official site, the rooftop is the only thing Silver adds to Blue. Several reseller pages describe Silver or Gold as “skip-the-line”. The official category cards don’t say that.
- The Gaudí Dôme is gone from the official list. Reseller pages and the Turisme shop description still mention it in Gold. The official “what’s included” page no longer lists it, and the booking page stops showing it for dates after 31 August 2026.
- The temporary exhibition is a separate ticket. “Gaudí-Miró-Gomis: Deconstructed” (2nd floor, until 10 Jan) costs €15 on its own or comes in the “General Visit + Exhibition” ticket, from €37 (checked 22 Oct 2026). Don’t expect it in a standard Gold ticket.
Which Casa Batlló ticket is worth it?
This is our editorial judgement, based on the official inclusions above.
- Blue: only if the budget is tight or you have been on the roof before. The rooftop is where the façade’s dragon ends and where the chimneys are. Skipping it to save €5 is a false economy for a first visit.
- Silver: the default. You get every space in the house except the Gold-only rooms, plus the rooftop. Most first-time visitors need nothing more.
- Gold: worth the extra €5 if you like interiors. The private residence is the only part of the visit that shows how the Batlló family’s rooms looked with furniture. The tablet adds augmented-reality content along the route. If you only care about the architecture and the roof, Silver is enough.
- Platinum: buy it for flexibility, not for more content. On the official site it has the same content as Gold. What it adds is free cancellation and the right to move your date yourself. That is worth €10 if a cruise schedule, a flight or the weather could change your plans. The Turisme shop says Platinum also includes priority access and a souvenir, but the official site did not confirm either on 22 Oct 2026.
Families: children aged 0 to 12 go free in every category and get the augmented-reality tablet and headphones anyway. A family can therefore buy Silver for the adults and still give the children the tablet experience. Children still need their own (free) ticket. The booking page says entry is not allowed without one.
How much are Casa Batlló tickets, and why does the price keep changing?
Casa Batlló uses dynamic pricing. Each 15-minute time slot has its own price, which goes up as the slot fills and drops when it is quiet. The official FAQ says prices “may vary depending on availability and how early you purchase”. It also says buying ahead can save up to €15 per ticket compared with the ticket office.
Here are the adult online prices we saw on 22 Oct 2026, for visit dates between 22 Oct and 29 Dec 2026:
| Category | Cheapest slot | Normal slot | Busiest slot we saw |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue | €29 | €35 | €45 |
| Silver | €34 | €40 | €50 |
| Gold | €39 | €45 | €55 |
| Platinum | €49 | €55 | €65 |
What the pattern looked like:
- On busy late-October days, the first slots of the morning were the most expensive. On Saturday 24 Oct, Blue cost €45 at 9:00 and €31–33 in many lunchtime and evening slots.
- Weekdays from mid-November into December were cheaper, mostly €29–33 for Blue.
- The “from €29” price you see advertised exists, but only in the quietest slots.
Discounts (online and at the ticket office, checked 22 Oct 2026):
- Ages 13–17: €6 off.
- Students with a valid student card from any country: €6 off.
- Over-65s: €3 off.
- Visitors with an accredited disability: €6 off, and a companion goes free. The companion ticket is issued at the ticket office.
- Children aged 0 to 12 are free.
The discounts apply on top of the slot price. For example, a student paid €29 when the adult Blue price was €35.
The ticket office costs more. The FAQ says box office prices are €4 to €15 higher than online prices. The box office only sells the General Visit. Every other experience is online only.
Does the Barcelona Card get you a discount?
Yes, but it is a weak one. Casa Batlló lists “VisitBarcelona: Barcelona Card –€7” under “discounts only at the ticket office for the General Visit” (checked 22 Oct 2026). The same applies to Barcelona Bus Turístic, Barcelona City Tour and Barcelona Modernisme Route tickets. Go City passes are listed as free entry at the ticket office.
To use the card, you have to pay the box office price, which is €4–15 above the online price. At best you save about €3 compared with booking online. On a day when the surcharge is high, you pay up to €8 more and you also risk your preferred time selling out. Don’t buy the Barcelona Card for Casa Batlló. Our Barcelona Card analysis shows the card is rarely worth it for a Gaudí-focused trip.
Where to buy Casa Batlló tickets safely
- Official site: casabatllo.es. When you choose a ticket you move to tickets.casabatllo.es, Casa Batlló’s own booking system. This is the only place that sells every experience (night visit, early-morning visit, concerts and food packages).
- Turisme de Barcelona shop: the city tourism board sells the same four categories at the same slot prices. We compared Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum for 28 Oct, 31 Oct and 18 Nov 2026, and they matched casabatllo.es. The page header shows “as low as €31.50”. The real slot prices go from €29 upwards. The shop’s description mentions “free cancellation up to 24 hours in advance”, but this product doesn’t carry the shop’s “Free Cancellation” badge, so read the terms at checkout before you rely on it.
- Resellers (GetYourGuide, Viator, Tiqets and others) also sell Casa Batlló entry. Before you pay, check which category you are getting. If the listing doesn’t say Blue, Silver, Gold or Platinum, assume it is Blue, which has no rooftop.
How to spot a copycat site: the official domain is casabatllo.es. Prices should follow the four categories and match the slot prices above. If a site doesn’t name the category, or charges more than €65 for a standard daytime adult ticket, compare it with the official booking calendar before you pay. Tickets come by email and can be shown on your phone. You don’t need to print them.
Can you cancel or change the date?
The official FAQ is strict (checked 22 Oct 2026):
- Platinum (General Visit and Night Visit): free cancellation by emailing info@casabatllo.cat before your visit. You can also change the date or time yourself, using the link in Casa Batlló’s emails.
- Blue, Silver and Gold: you can’t cancel or change the ticket. In cases of force majeure, such as a medical certificate or a cancelled or delayed flight or train, go to the ticket office with proof and staff will try to rebook you.
- Magical Nights: the Gold category has free cancellation.
Being late: you can enter during the 15 minutes after your booked slot, but not before it. If you are later than that, the FAQ sends you to the ticket office.
What if your time is sold out?
- Try other times on the same day. Each 15-minute slot sells separately. On 22 Oct, the 9:00 slot for 28 Oct had only 3 tickets left while most later slots had dozens.
- Check the Turisme shop, which draws on the same slots.
- Go early or late. “Be the First” (entry 8:30–8:45 am, €45, all areas included, very limited capacity) and the Night Visit (until 15 Nov) are separate allocations.
- Last resort: the ticket office sells the General Visit on the day, at a higher price.
Night visit, Magical Nights and early entry: are they worth it?
| Experience | When | Price (checked 22 Oct 2026) | Rooftop? | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Night Visit | Entry 8:30–9:30 pm, until 15 Nov 2026 | Blue €25–39, Platinum €45–59, drink included (checked 23 Oct 2026) | No | A cheaper evening visit with a drink, if you can skip the roof |
| Magical Nights | Visit 8 pm, concert 9 pm, until 15 Nov 2026 | From €59 | Concert setting; the visit excludes the private residence | Live music with the visit; free entry for under-12s and the usual discounts don’t apply |
| Be the First | Entry 8:30–8:45 am, daily on the dates we checked through December | €45 | Yes, all areas | Photos and fewer people |
The Night Visit’s categories work differently. Silver adds the augmented-reality tablet, and Gold and Platinum add the concierge room and the private residence, plus a Kir Royal instead of cava. The official FAQ also mentions a winter evening visit, “A Winter Night”, and says the Christmas lights on the façade run from 28 Nov to 6 Jan (6:30–9:30 pm). We couldn’t see dates or prices for it on 22 Oct 2026.
When is the best time to visit Casa Batlló?
This is our editorial view, based on the price and availability data above. It is not measured on site.
- The slot price is a crowd indicator. Prices rise as slots fill, so the cheaper time on a given day is also the less crowded one. Compare a few times before you book.
- On busy days, avoid the first two hours. In late October, 9:00–11:00 slots cost the most.
- The official site recommends 4–7 pm for wheelchair users because it is “outside of peak visitor hours”. That is a useful hint for everyone.
- If you want the house nearly empty, “Be the First” at 8:30 am is the official option, at a fixed €45.
Opening hours: the house is open every day of the year. General Visit slots run from 9:00. In the booking calendar, the last slot was 7:45 pm on the late-October dates we checked and 6:15 pm on the dates we checked from 18 November onwards. The official pages don’t agree on closing time (one says 7:15 pm), so trust the booking calendar for your date.
How to get there
Casa Batlló is at Passeig de Gràcia 43. The nearest metro station is Passeig de Gràcia (L3 and L4), which also has Renfe R2 trains. Buses 7, 22 and V15 stop at Pg de Gràcia – Aragó, and both the Bus Turístic (blue and red routes) and the City Tour have a Casa Batlló stop.
Accessibility and visiting with a pushchair
From the official accessibility information (checked 22 Oct 2026):
- Wheelchairs: you can visit the whole house, including the new rooms and the roof terrace. There are two lifts, with priority for people with disabilities, reduced mobility and pregnant women. The official suggestion is to arrive between 4 and 7 pm.
- Hearing: a tablet with subtitles is available, and the audio-guide text is offered in all 15 languages.
- Sight: the audio guide gives detailed descriptions.
- Pushchairs: they can’t go round the house. Staff store them and lend baby carriers for children under 2.
- Bags: there are no lockers, so leave luggage at your accommodation.
Casa Batlló or La Pedrera?
Both start from €29 online for an adult daytime ticket (checked 22 Oct 2026). Casa Batlló is the shorter, more theatrical visit with digital rooms, and you need at least Silver for the roof. La Pedrera’s Essential ticket comes with a video guide. See our La Pedrera tickets guide before choosing.
How we checked this page
- Official pages read on 22 Oct 2026 (casabatllo.es): online tickets overview, General Visit booking page, “what’s included”, FAQs, plan your visit, Night Visit, Be the First, Magical Nights and visiting with children.
- Prices: read from the official booking calendar for ten visit dates between 22 Oct and 29 Dec 2026, and from the Turisme de Barcelona shop’s booking widget for 28 Oct, 31 Oct and 18 Nov 2026. Prices change by slot and will move. Treat the ranges above as what we saw on 22 Oct, not as fixed rates.
- Barcelona Card discount: taken from Casa Batlló’s own discount list and the Turisme de Barcelona Barcelona Card page.
- Our own work: the category comparison table, the price-range table and the Barcelona Card net-cost calculation.
- Not first-hand yet: nobody from our team has visited with these tickets. We have not timed the visit, checked queues at the entrance, compared the Gold-only rooms in person or taken photos. We also could not confirm whether Platinum includes priority entry or a souvenir, as the Turisme shop says, or what audio device Blue and Silver visitors get. Bring your own headphones in case the audio guide runs on your phone.
Frequently asked questions
Which Casa Batlló ticket should I buy?
Silver for most people, because it is the cheapest ticket that includes the rooftop. Choose Gold (€5 more) if you also want the furnished Batlló family residence. Choose Platinum only if you may need to cancel or change your date.
Does the Blue ticket include the rooftop?
No. On 22 Oct 2026 the official site listed the Dragon's Rooftop only in Silver, Gold and Platinum. Blue covers the main floor, attic, rear façade and courtyard, basement stairs and atrium, and the Gaudí Cube, with an audio guide.
How much are Casa Batlló tickets?
The price changes by time slot. For dates between 22 Oct and 29 Dec 2026, adult online prices were Blue €29–45, Silver €34–50, Gold €39–55 and Platinum €49–65 (checked 22 Oct 2026). Children aged 0 to 12 go free.
Is there a Casa Batlló discount with the Barcelona Card?
Yes, €7 off, but only at the ticket office and only for the General Visit. Casa Batlló says box office prices are €4–15 higher than online prices, so the card can end up costing you more than simply booking online.
Can I cancel or change Casa Batlló tickets?
Only Platinum tickets (General Visit and Night Visit) have free cancellation and a self-service date change. With Blue, Silver or Gold you can only ask for a new slot at the ticket office, with proof of force majeure.
How long does a Casa Batlló visit take?
About 1 hour with Blue and about 1 hour 15 minutes with the other tickets, according to the official FAQ. You must enter within 15 minutes of your time slot, and not before it.
Is there a Casa Batlló night visit?
Yes. The Night Visit runs until 15 Nov 2026, with entry between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, from €25 including a drink. It does not include the rooftop. The Magical Nights concerts (from €59) also run until 15 Nov.
