La Pedrera (Casa Milà) Tickets: Day Visit or Night Experience?
We earn a commission if you book through some links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never decides what we recommend. How we make money
For most first visits, buy the La Pedrera Essential day ticket for an afternoon slot: it covers the rooftop, attic, apartment and courtyards, and afternoon slots were the cheapest we found (€29 adult, checked 22 Oct 2026). Pick the Night Experience (€39.50) if you want a guide, the rooftop light show and a glass of cava more than time to wander at your own pace. Buy on lapedrera.com or the Turisme de Barcelona shop, which sell the same sessions at the same prices.

Which La Pedrera ticket should you buy?
La Pedrera sells seven ticket types plus three combined tickets, and all of them cover the same four areas: the two courtyards, the period apartment, the attic with the Gaudí exhibition, and the rooftop with its warrior-shaped chimneys. What changes is the time of day, whether a guide leads you, and the extras. Use this table to find yours. All prices are for one adult and were checked on 22 Oct 2026.

Children aged 0 to 11 are free on all of these. On the Essential ticket, visitors over 65, students and people with a disability of 33% or more pay €22. People with a disability of 65% or more get in free. La Pedrera also sells combined tickets: Essential plus Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site (from €42), Palau de la Música Catalana (from €42) or the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres (from €44.50).
“Les Ombres” and other old names: the official ticket page lists no product called Les Ombres or “Gaudí’s Pedrera: The Origins” (checked 22 Oct 2026). The night visit is now sold as La Pedrera Night Experience.
Why does the day ticket price change?
The Essential ticket uses dynamic pricing. In the official booking calendar, each 15-minute slot has its own adult price, and the price can move during the day as slots fill up. We read every slot on 22 Oct 2026:
| Visit date | Cheapest slot | Dearest slot | Pattern |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tue 28 Oct 2026 | €29 | €39 | 9:45 and 10:00 am cost €39. Most slots between 12:15 and 5:15 pm cost €29–€31 |
| Sat 14 Nov 2026 | €29 | €35 | Most slots €29 |
| Mon 28 Dec 2026 | €31 | €33 | Christmas week: no €29 slots from 26 Dec to 3 Jan |
The junior price follows the same pattern, from €14.50 to €19.50. Same-day tickets were dearer: the cheapest slot for 22 Oct itself was €33.
What this means for you: book a few days ahead and choose the early afternoon. La Pedrera’s own FAQ names 9–10 am and from 4 pm as the quietest times. On 28 Oct, the slots from 4 pm cost €29–€33, against €35 at 9 am. On the other dates the gap was small. An afternoon visit is also the only way to use the Barcelona Card discount.
Day visit or Night Experience?
Both tickets cover the courtyards, apartment, attic and rooftop. The difference is how you see them.
- Day (Essential): you move at your own pace with a videoguide and see the rooftop views over the city in daylight. It costs €29–€39.
- Night Experience: a guide leads your group through the building, and the visit ends on the rooftop with a video-mapping show and a glass of cava. It costs a fixed €39.50, and sessions hold up to 40 people. The official page says the show sells out every night.
Our take: if you will only visit once and want to linger on the rooftop and in the Gaudí exhibition, go by day. Choose the night visit for a shared evening plan, or if you have seen the building before. Price is rarely the deciding factor: the night ticket costs €0.50 more than a €39 morning slot.
For a family of two adults and two children aged 14 and 9, the totals compare like this (checked 22 Oct 2026):
- Essential, cheapest afternoon slot: €72.50 (2 × €29, plus €14.50 for the junior; under-12s free).
- Night Experience: €98 (2 × €39.50, plus €19 for the junior).
The booking calendar marks some evenings as Catalan or Chinese sessions, so check the session language before you pay. The Night Experience price above is listed until 31 Dec 2026. Check again for 2027 dates.
La Pedrera or Casa Batlló?
Both day visits start at €29, but La Pedrera’s cheapest ticket includes the rooftop. At Casa Batlló the rooftop only comes with the Silver category or higher, and its Night Visit (until 15 Nov) skips the rooftop. La Pedrera’s Night Experience ends on the rooftop. Compare the ticket categories in our Casa Batlló tickets guide.
Can you use the Barcelona Card at La Pedrera?
The Barcelona Card’s official page lists “Casa Milà – La Pedrera −€7 (La Pedrera Essencial adult) (Entry from 14h)” (checked 22 Oct 2026). La Pedrera’s FAQ says vouchers and discount cards can only be used at its ticket offices, not online. In practice:
- You can’t book a discounted slot in advance. You buy at the door from 2 pm and take whatever is left.
- La Pedrera’s rates page warns that some fares cost more at the box office than online. We couldn’t confirm the box-office price of the Essential ticket, so we can’t tell you exactly what €7 off leaves you paying.
Don’t buy the Barcelona Card for La Pedrera. If you already have one for museums, the discount is a small bonus on an afternoon when the building isn’t sold out. Our Barcelona Card guide works through the maths for a Gaudí-focused trip.
What are La Pedrera’s opening hours?
Official hours (checked 22 Oct 2026). The booking calendar shows the exact session times for each ticket.
| Period | Day visits | Night Experience sessions |
|---|---|---|
| 6 Mar–1 Nov 2026 | 9:00 am–8:30 pm | 8:40–10:20 pm |
| 2 Nov 2026–25 Feb 2027 | 9:00 am–6:30 pm | 7:00–11:00 pm |
| 26 Dec 2026–3 Jan 2027 | 9:00 am–8:30 pm (1 Jan: 11 am–8:30 pm) | 9:00–11:00 pm |
Closed: 25 December 2026 and 11–17 January 2027 (and earlier this year on 6 July and 7 September).
The Turisme de Barcelona shop pages for La Pedrera still show older closing dates. Trust lapedrera.com for hours.
What happens if it rains?
La Pedrera’s rules say the roof terrace closes when it rains, for safety. The cancellation policy adds that your visit can be moved to another available date if your ticket hasn’t been scanned yet, even without the flexibility insurance. Once you have gone in, no changes are possible.
So on a rainy morning, check the sky before you walk through the door, and email info@lapedrera.com with your booking number. The rules don’t say what happens to the rooftop show at the Night Experience in the rain, so ask when you rebook.
How do you buy La Pedrera tickets safely?
There are two sellers we recommend, and both sold the same timed sessions at the same prices in our checks:
- Official: lapedrera.com. The “Buy” buttons take you to tickets.lapedrera.com. At checkout it offers €1.90-per-ticket flexibility insurance, which lets you change the date or time once. It also sells every ticket type, including Premium, Open Date and the combined tickets.
- Turisme de Barcelona shop (thisisbarcelona.com), the city tourism board’s shop: Essential, Night Experience and Sunrise (€39.50). Its booking calendar pulls the same sessions from La Pedrera’s system. Its page says tickets cannot be changed or refunded, and it doesn’t mention the flexibility insurance. It also lists the “Main Floor” among the Essential areas, which the official Essential page doesn’t. If the main-floor exhibition matters to you, buy the Art Season ticket.
Rules that apply wherever you buy:
- No refunds. Without the insurance, no date changes either.
- Show the QR code on your phone. You don’t need to print it. La Pedrera says tickets bought on its website use a separate entrance with no ticket-office queue.
- Children under 18 must stay with an adult throughout the visit.
Avoid lookalikes. Search results for “casa mila tickets” are dominated by resellers with their own branding and prices. La Pedrera’s regulations say it does not guarantee tickets bought outside official points of sale and will refuse entry with tickets that aren’t genuine. Before paying, check the address bar: lapedrera.com, tickets.lapedrera.com or thisisbarcelona.com.
What if your date is sold out?
- Try another time of day. Essential, Art Season and the Night Experience have separate capacity, and Sunrise runs before opening.
- Try the Turisme shop. It draws on the same sessions, so expect the same availability. It is still worth a look if the official checkout fails.
- Open Date (€45) lets you choose your day within 6 months without booking a time. The page doesn’t say if Open Date holders get in when the building is at capacity, so ask info@lapedrera.com before relying on it on a busy day.
- The ticket office sells on the day, but some fares cost more there, and nothing is guaranteed.
- Other Gaudí houses: see our Casa Batlló and Sagrada Família guides.
How do you get to La Pedrera?

| FGC suburban trains | Provença–La Pedrera |

Accessibility, prams and bags
- Wheelchairs: all public areas are step-free except the rooftop and the mezzanine. There is a viewing platform at the lift exit on the roof. La Pedrera lends wheelchairs free of charge if you book by email in advance.
- Prams and pushchairs are not allowed inside. You leave them at the entrance, and the official site recommends a baby carrier.
- Backpacks go through a security check. Inside, wear them on your front or leave them in the free lockers on the ground floor.
- Groups of more than 9 people must book in advance.
How we checked this page
- Official sources read on 22 Oct 2026: the lapedrera.com tickets page and the Essential, Night Experience, Sunset, Sunrise, Premium, Open Date and Art Season pages; the practical information (rates, hours, getting here), FAQs and regulations pages.
- Booking calendars, 22 Oct 2026: we loaded La Pedrera’s official booking site (tickets.lapedrera.com) in a browser and read every slot price for visit dates of 23 and 28 Oct, 14 Nov and 28 Dec 2026, plus daily “from” prices to June 2027. We compared these with the Turisme de Barcelona shop’s booking widget for the same dates.
- Other sources: the Barcelona Card discount list on thisisbarcelona.com, and Casa Batlló’s online ticket pages for the comparison.
- Our own work: the profile table, the slot-price analysis and the family cost comparison.
- Not first-hand yet: nobody from our team has visited La Pedrera for this page. We haven’t timed the visit or the queues, seen the night show, tested the box-office price or the Barcelona Card discount, or taken photos. We couldn’t confirm what happens to Night Experience bookings in the rain, or whether Open Date holders get in when the building is full.
Frequently asked questions
How much are La Pedrera tickets?
The Essential day ticket cost €29 to €39 for an adult on 22 Oct 2026, depending on the date and the 15-minute time slot. Juniors aged 12 to 17 pay about half and under-12s go free. The Night Experience is a fixed €39.50 per adult and €19 per junior.
Is the La Pedrera Night Experience worth it?
It is worth it if you want a guided visit, the video-mapping show on the rooftop and a glass of cava. It covers the same areas as the day ticket. If you want to take your time and see the rooftop views in daylight, buy the Essential ticket instead. On busy mornings the night ticket costs only €0.50 more than the dearest day slot.
Is Casa Milà the same as La Pedrera?
Yes. Casa Milà is the building's official name, after the Milà family who commissioned it. La Pedrera ('the quarry' in Catalan) is its nickname. The official ticket site is lapedrera.com.
How long does a visit to La Pedrera take?
The self-guided Essential visit takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, according to the official site. The guided Night Experience lasts 1 hour 20 minutes, and the Sunrise and Premium tours 1 hour 30 minutes each.
Does the Barcelona Card give a discount at La Pedrera?
Yes, €7 off an adult La Pedrera Essential ticket, for entry from 2 pm. La Pedrera's FAQ says discount cards can only be used at its ticket offices, not online, so you buy at the door and take the risk that your time slot is sold out.
What happens if it rains on the day of my visit?
La Pedrera closes the rooftop when it rains. Its rules say you can then move your visit to another available date, as long as your ticket has not been scanned yet. If you have already gone in, the ticket cannot be changed.
Can I cancel or change a La Pedrera ticket?
Not by default: there are no refunds or date changes. If you add the €1.90 flexibility insurance when you buy on lapedrera.com, you can change the date or time once before your visit.
